It introduces the story of humanity trying to fight back against the terrible race of monsters, known as "Aragami", by sending out the "God Eaters", individuals who can wield the God Arc ( 神機, Jinki), the only weapon that can kill the Aragami.

"Control Units" are mods that can be equipped to the God Arc, giving status buffs upon entering "Burst Mode". Players are able to customize the equipment in their God Arc, such as its "Blades", "Shield", "Gun", and "Control Unit". These bullets can also be used by the player during missions. Another notable feature is the Bullet Editor, which allow players to customize their own unique bullets. Successfully doing so will enter a state called "Burst Mode", granting players increased speed, attack power, and special access to a limited set of "Aragami Bullets", which can be used against the Aragami. One notable feature of the franchise is the ability to "eat" the enemy Aragami during combat with the God Arc's "Predator Form". Players can freely switch between three forms: "Blade Form" for close combat, "Gun Form" for long-range shooting, and "Shield Form" for protection against attacks during "Blade Form". Additionally, players may also gather minerals, medical kits, and various materials to improve their weapons.

The primary goal of the game is to complete missions by successfully taking out powerful monsters, retrieving their parts through "devouring", breaking a certain body part of an Aragami or receiving them as rewards, and using them as materials to craft or upgrade parts for the God Arc. Hopefully it can be of some use.The gameplay consists of players embarking on various missions to hunt specific monsters. There has been lots of people reporting this issue, and even getting refunds because of it. So I'll leave this all here just in case somebody comes along with the same issue. But now the game boots up perfectly fine. This is the kind of stuff that Steam is supposed to be installing. For some odd reason, I was missing one of the Visual Studio 2008 redistributables, even though I had all of the others.

As part of the installation of the cracked version, it also installed all of the prerequisites. After some experimenting, and downloading a cracked version of the game for testing, I've gotten everything working now. I haven't tried that game yet so I can't say if it does or not. I wish I could get a black screen because then at least something would be happening.Īlso, it seems the people that have reported this issue, it also happens with God Eater 2 for them. I contacted Bandai Namco to see if they have anything to say, but I figured I would post on here as well to see if anyone ever figured out a solution.īefore anyone comes along and starts talking about the black screen and changing the config file, this isn't the same issue. I've done everything that I can think of. I've tried re-installing the game and Steam. I've searched around all over and seen lots of reports of this issue but there's never any solutions for it. It has a process in the task manager and I'm forced to end it from there since I can't quit the game in any other way. Steam says the game is running but absolutely nothing happens. I just tried to play Resurrection but it doesn't launch. I got these games as part of the Humble Bundle about a month ago.
